Keeping spare bottles of eye drops
Store spares exactly like the bottle you are using — Store between 15° to 30°C (59° to 86°F) — and leave them sealed until you need them.
Why sealed
Two reasons. A sealed bottle is one you can still get a refund on: unopened bottles can be refunded within 30 days of delivery, with no need to send them back. And opening a bottle you won’t use for weeks gains you nothing.
Those 30 days run from delivery, so if you have over-ordered, decide early. After that, the spares are yours to keep in range until you need them.
Where
Together, in one drawer or cabinet, away from heat and out of children’s reach. Keeping them in one place stops a bottle being forgotten in a bag or a car.
Which to open first
Check the expiration dates and open the earliest first. Do eye drops expire? covers the dates.
How many to keep
At the labeled dose a bottle lasts roughly a month, so one spare covers the wait for a new order. Orders of 3 or more ship free if you would rather stock up.
