Why emu oil
Emu oil is an all natural oil used by the Aboriginal people of Australia for thousands of years to nourish and protect the body. In artificial tears, it provides soothing support of the tear film’s oil layer to reduce moisture loss. It is also where the name of our slogan comes from — give your dry eye the bird!

What Quell is
Quell is an over-the-counter lubricating eye drop. You do not need a prescription. It is intended for use as a protectant against further irritation, or to relieve dryness of the eye.
What Quell is not
It is not a substitute for an eye exam, and this site does not provide medical advice. If you have eye pain, changes in vision, continued irritation or redness, or symptoms that persist beyond 72 hours, stop use and see a doctor. Caution should be used in those with egg or bird allergies. For use in the eyes only.
Preservative-free, on purpose
Preservatives are a common source of irritation for people dosing several times a day. Quell contains none.
Targets the oil layer
Most drops top up the water layer. Quell reinforces the lipid layer above it, which is what slows evaporation down.
Natural ingredients
Emu oil, manuka honey, Dead Sea salt, and Terminalia chebula sit alongside the lubricants in the inactive ingredient list.
