Why checkout remembers your details
To save you typing them again. When you check out as a guest, your name, address, email and phone number are saved in your own browser, on your own device. Order again from the same browser and checkout fills them in.
Where it is kept
On your device and nowhere else. The privacy policy says the shop never receives a copy of what is stored there. Card details are never saved anywhere on this site, so they aren’t part of it.
Shared and family computers
Whoever uses the same browser after you will see your details offered. That is why a “Not you? Clear details” link appears on the cart page whenever the form has been filled from an earlier visit. Clearing your browser’s site data does the same job.
Different devices
Because nothing is stored on the shop’s side, your phone and your laptop each remember separately. Ordering from a new device means typing the details once more, after which that device remembers them too.
Before you pay
Remembered details are only as good as the last time you entered them. If you have moved, or the order is going somewhere else, change the address before paying. How to reorder covers the rest.
