Check one thing before you send it

Quell’s warnings open with: Caution should be used in those with egg or bird allergies — For use in the eyes only. The formula contains emu oil. If the person you are buying for has an egg or bird allergy, talk to them, and ideally to their doctor, before ordering.

What they should read

Over-the-counter drugs are meant to be used by following the label, so make sure they read it, on the carton or on the Drug Facts page. The directions read “Apply 1 drop 3 times per day in each eye,” and the stop-use section tells them when to get advice.

If they use other drops or wear lenses

Quell’s label doesn’t cover use alongside contact lenses or other eye drops. If either applies, they should ask their eye doctor or pharmacist first.

Who can buy, and where it goes

The person paying must be at least 18, and the site ships within the United States only. A package that arrives damaged or incorrect is replaced at no charge if reported within 30 days, so ask them to open it and check soon after it arrives.
