Can I use more than three drops a day?

The directions read: Apply 1 drop 3 times per day in each eye. Using more isn’t part of them.

“In each eye”

Three times a day in each eye is six drops a day in total. If you have been counting three, you have been using the right amount per eye.

If it doesn’t feel like enough

Act on that; the label tells you how: Stop use and ask a doctor if you feel eye pain or changes in your vision, if irritation or redness continues, or if the condition worsens or persists for 72 hours. A problem that persists is a reason to see a doctor, not to raise the dose.

Why stick to the label

The directions are part of what makes an over-the-counter product something you can use on your own. Going beyond them means going beyond what the label covers.

Talk to someone

An eye doctor or pharmacist can tell you whether something else is going on. Eye symptoms that need a doctor lists the points at which that matters most.
